Rik Kapler aka WAVE is a local Provincetown artist whose work explores sensual forms of fantastic amalgamations between female and male, fantasy and reality and blend the tactile with the visual to invite the senses. He ahs worked on polychrome ceramics using a variety of techniques for glazzing, pigmantation, oxidationa nd reduction, using traditional european and native american techniques. His approach captures the essence of the changing concepts of sexuality and sensuality, gender identity and nature through a quiet reflection on the form and the beauty of the natural world.
